I've noticed the Apple growers of America do their part as well. Certain tree fruits (some cherries, Fuji and Gala apples, etc) achieve more uniform fruit color from sun exposure. So the growers put large strips of mylar on the rows between trees to reflect sunlight back up to the underside of the fruit. This of course also reflects the sunlight back to space. Mylar is cheap. Forget covering the Southwest deserts with solar plants. Lets cover AZ in mylar and cool the place down. They won't need any AC in the summer.
