Hi Clappy,
We just now ran a little rabbit out of our pool area, where he has chewing on my hibiscus plants. We put Sevin Dust on them. That seems to keep most every kind of critter from worms to polecats away from plants. It is harmless on tomatoes, and other vegetables. My Grandfather told me about it several years ago and it has always worked!
I also have "Chip", the chipmunk living under my deck. I just love the little guys.
