Goooddmooorrnniinngggg All Techriders!!!
So there I was just taking a late Hawaiian stroll through Silicone Investor and remembered that I had a tip from a fellow poster that this was where to find all my Gnet buddies and Vwaala here you are.
You guys are sooo cool! This is what I have been really missing on the G-net thread, some down home sharing and fun.
I only have read the last couple of days so I am wayyy behind on the family news, but could i please join the ‘family'?
I promise to be good. And I will help whenever I can, i.e., Joe, Jed and Blue, watch out for that there Sasquatch in them thar hills of Washington!!! I was born and bread there and know those hills, valleys and Mountains like I know the six gray pubes that showed up the other day.
I've climbed to the top of every major mountain peak along the Cascade Range, with Rainier being the most challenging (Oct. climb)
But I sidegress. The story I wanted to relate is this: I was climbing with a buddy on a little hike up to Lake 22 (try grubbing that one Blue!). It was early March, warm during the day but lots of snow yet. At the lake, which was still frozen but thawing at the edges, we set up camp. We were there for a few days, froze our butts off cause we hadn't got the hiking thing quite down yet. Anyway, as we were leaving with packs on our backs, I stopped to get one last drink from the little stream trickling out from the lake. I love drinking mountain water, just lovit, but anyway here's the good part I was trying to get to, and I'll try to get to it before the Bell opens the Market… So there I am, down on my knee's, drinking this fresh, crisp sparkling Cascade Mountain water, when I notice these huge footprints in the snow across the creak a few feet. Now these ain't your regular large-man foot-prints, and these are not Blue's snowshoe foot-prints, These suckers are eighteen inch long FOOT prints! Now I'm not making this up!!! They were heavy in the snow, came right down to the creak and then up towards the high steep bluffs above us…..
A year later, on the mountain highway at the head of the lake 22 trail, the Seattle news reported a man witnessed a Big-Foot type creature run across in front of his car!
So Jed, you warnum, cause thems a heep o trouble ifin ya gits on ther bad side!
