Re: Joel's thoughts. My feeling is that Joel will convert over when one of the big companies - IBM? - installs ZIPs across their laptop line. However, I now believe the INFOWorld whisper anent Iomega and IBM - where IBM were going to put a ZIP in every ThinkPad - was a false one. IBM is looking at a CDROM/floppy combo that seems to squeexe out the ZIP. Silly, of course, but Big Blue has always had their profoundly silly moments. FIDO Postscript. Anyone got news on the last Kasparov/DeepBlue game? Now there is almost perfect advertising. Low cost and huge subliminal penetration. Pity Iomega didn't offer the game on a ZIP c/w commentaries.
