you will do a lot better simply trading the QQQ.

That is what I have been thinking about.

What if you buy back a call at 10% profit and QQQ keeps going down? Are you willing to ride it out all the way?

You have the same problem with any stock you hold. One of the reasons I was thinking about using QQQ is that it has gone down a lot less than my portfolio.
