I just finished reading a baseball story, "Blockade Billy", by Stephen King. It's a tale about a rookie catcher who turned his team into a winner. Last night I watched the Giants game, and realized that their rookie catcher, Buster Posey, is a real life Blockade Billy. Posey was just named National Leagues Player of the Month for July. "Posey was one of the hottest hitters in the Majors in July as he led the N.L. with 43 hits and ranked third with a .417 average (43-for-103). His 24 RBI were tied for third-best in the N.L., while his .466 on-base percentage and .699 slugging percentage ranked fourth and fifth in the league, respectively." I just hope Buster doesn't have dark secrets like Billy's.
