Brian I would agree with you. CREE's SiC production methods ARE the "discontinuous, disruptive, innovation". The LED product helped bring SiC across the Chasm and formed/forming the value chain. Each product that will use CREE's method of creating SiC is a new bowling alley (e.g. LED's). LED's are the current alley we are playing in. When enough 'bowling alleys' are in place then we will be in a full scale tornado. I, personally, don't think it will take more than another product or two for a full blown tornado to be upon us. And man ... what a tornado it will be! HUGE!!! Encompassing 10's, 20's (hundreds?) of potential markets!

My only concern is CREE attempting to control the SiC production. I would MUCH rather see them license their SiC production methods out and receive royalties from HUNDREDS of other companies all producing SiC and products based on SiC. Think of the value chain and stream of royalties that could be produced!
