Bush's plan to blame Al Qaida (Saddam linked now) for Berg's death is not going to work anyway, not even if it's true. It will fire up the ultra rightwing loyalists and maybe give rightwing soldiers a reason to fight harder, but it is also so very ugly, so horrificv, that it begs the question "what the hell ar we doing over there, when will it end and is it worth it?" The answer to those questions for most people will be NO, and that goes against Bush's #1 issue of his presidencey, not to fight terrorists (which we all agree on) but to invade and occupy Iraq without a real coalition or post-war plan.
