Funk - Thanks for the advice, but you didn't really answer my questions! Never mind. I've read those discussions on SN and ISLD and they were helpful. But allowing an MM the opportunity to stall, and decide whether or not to fill my order in a fast-and-furious market scares the daylights out of me. I'm not giving them that power.

About your advice to stay away from high-volume, fast-moving stocks and limit my block sizes, good advice for a beginner, but I've been doing this for a while. I just was interested to see how others who have been with MB for longer use the various routes. It worked out fine for me Thursday and Friday using ISLD and ARCA. I bought 4500 XYBR Thursday at 6 15/32 and unloaded them all near the top of the market for quite a profit. I have only myself to blame for not shorting at 12. All I can say is I was too busy counting my winnings! Stupid! You can never make too big a profit. If next week is anything like what happened Wed-Fri. there will be a killing in the offing.

By the way, I do have both of those Schwager books you recommended - they are quite a good read.
