I think I interpreted his statement fairly enough. He said nothing about betas. He implied that money pulled out of stocks like IBM would be plowed into stocks like FAMH.

I seriously doubt that. Don't you?

Historically, people pull money out of stocks to put it in safer havens such as T-bills. In addition, much of the money that has been propping up the Dow has been from foreigners. If someone thinks that a Japanese institutional investor, for example, will be targeting FAMH for investment... dream on.
