Hi Brian: From time to time, in fact a lot of times, have you noticed
how some good companies have the share price go way down, and some
dogs climb.
What I'm leading to, is u often have to seperate the share price from
the company..and look under the rug..Have you checked out the big
holders in AOL..most of them funds and institutions..but do you
know who is the biggest ?...and what other stocks that company
holds..did you know that even though Puttman is the largest holder
of AOL that AOL makes up only a small past of their portfolio,
with other companies taken big hits in the last few weeks the
funds have had their hands full..take a look at what the mutual
funds are doing, the high groth ones that are heavy weighted in
technoligy..don't stop with one or two..look at them..notice
were thev majority have most of their money..in short use them
as an index..and don't look at last years profit..see how
they have done from JAN 1st.this year ! Your going to be surprised..
the tech sector has gone bearish..it got over priced..big
turn down in NAV..of funds in particular ones weighted heavy in
techs..they not talking about it..but it shows a trend..
it's spreading..when this happens they all take hits, not all at
the same time..as the funds have priorities..sooner or latter they
will thin out their holdings on AOL, they going to have to if the
trend keeps going..
BTW look at CWIX CABLE AND WIRELESS, NYSE:CWP
she is a good long, strong balance sheet..and is going to grow, and
has a relitive low rate of institutions into her ( so far )
be very carefull of any stock that's got over 50% owned by
instiutions, they can take over night hits that will pop your
socks off.
