Linda, From what I've been able to gather on this 'closing quote' thing is this: It appears that one of the primary quote feeds that many of the brokerages and on-line services use is showing 'after-hours' trade prices as the 'official closing price' for several stocks eg intc, sunw, et al. It also appears that, at least in one of the cases, the trade was for less than 1000 shares of stock, but it is showing up and causing 'panic attacks' amongst the followers of that issue.
