Hi FritzV; I think I'll go ahead and collect a set of proofs of those quarters. They ought to be reasonably cheap, and it would make a beautiful set. Why doesn't the mint get rid of some of these tired coin designs (1, 5, and 10 cent pieces, particularly) and go with something suitable for the 21st century? I have this suspicion that the split control of government cannot agree on whether to put Republican or Democratic dead presidents on any new coins, and so are putting off the change. But I don't follow numismatics news much. Ought to pick up a subscription to Coin... -- Carl
