I remember Rice Krinkles and ate plenty of them. They weren't called "Sugar" Rice Krinkles at that point even though sweetness was the calling card to the breakfast table. I also remember that soon after, the sugar police arrived and all those cereals that advertised "Sugar" in their names had that word espunged from the product. Sugar Pops became Corn Pops as "Sugar" was removed to make it appear to be a more wholesome product. It was also removed from the Rice Krinkles name as well. Sugar Puffs became Honey Puffs. I'm sure there were other examples but I can't remember everything at my advancing, formerly sugar induced age!
