It's a good strategy, however I don't like to personally short these comm chip stocks as they move explosively. They can destroy a short position very quickly. They move up 3 or 4 points in the pre-market, and unless you can trade, you've got to watch from the sidelines as your short goes against you. Of course, the same thing works in reverse, however, AMCC is down a reasonable amount from it's high (I sold quite a bit at 75....) so I think the short is not as much a slam dunk as it was 2 or 3 weeks ago.
