Good point. I will add that It is important to assume any option play will expire worthless when calculating allocation. I personally like the "pre-allocated" feature of options which keeps me from ever getting seriously taken out on a gap opening or a strong run. Mostly, though, I have shorted the HOMS underlying in the last 6 months in a hit and run fashion (stop at 1, reenter at 3, stop at 1, etc.). Currently I am in puts for the "sleep at night" benefits. :-)
