changes that threaten the bill..........
Doug Ose of California should also pay heed.

Rep. Ose, stiffing Sacramento and the northern Central Valley,

house.gov

proved to an obstructionist a$$hole today in the House hearings. A request was made to swear in Harvey Pitt, and Ose and Rep. Bachus spent several minutes, astonishingly, trying to get the committee to forego the swearing in of Pitt. Unbelievably dunderheaded recalcitrance. Pitt smiled through the effort, and when time came, he volunteered to be sworn in. Go figure. And go after him!

Enron Director William Powers was an excellent witness. He seem forthright and honest. Though a little ambivalent about his peer group, the attorneys at Vinson & Elkins.
