Do not make the mistake of assuming that ML has any clue what they are talking about. Neither Iridium or Motorola has ever said anything about per minute pricing other than $2.50-$3.00 per minute.
Common sense says that Globalstar will have their hands full for at least the first couple of years signing up rural customers just as fast as they can get them handsets and Iridium already has ample demand with the business traveler at $3.00 per minute. Why would they lower price for the first couple of years? They probably won't be bumping into any competition during that time frame anyway.
