15:00 ET Dow +14, Nasdaq +15, S&P +1.70: [BRIEFING.COM] Market is holding on to modest gains, but is well off its highs as an inability on the part of the Nasdaq to hold above 2200 has triggered some additional selling interest... The pullback, however, seems to be more of a case of advancing stocks retreating from higher levels than it is of a noticeable breakdown/change in leadership... The strongest groups remain retail, biotech, aerospace and entertainment while the weakest groups remain the defensive areas like food, beverage, household products and insurance... Up volume is outpacing down volume by a 2-to-1 margin at the NYSE and that is nearly the same case at the Nasdaq... Meanwhile, advancers continue to hold a comfortable lead over declining issues... BTK +5.9%... NYSE Adv/Dec 1865/1186... Nasdaq Adv/Dec 2365/1443.
