Herb,

Well, ya duck outta sight for months and then reply to yourself; no wonder few noticed, as the high-tech vision care industry has been rather discouraging of late. Tends to make the thread less traveled. As a holder of a small LASE position, I try to pay attention if not post in this area, so there's probably a few lurkers, at least.

I'm currently watching LASE and KERA, both of whom are struggling with launches. But if they finally get in gear . . . KERA is particularly interesting considering the institutional action surrounding it. The DLJ/Sprout Group folks have accumulated a sizable stake in that one. If memory serves, KERA's stock price is currently around their cost basis, so maybe not much downside unless KERA products really flop, which should take a few quarters to become really apparent. My recollection is that they are planning a marketing campaign this summer.

What are your ideas about this industry now?

Cheers, Tuck
