He likes to spend time on the Internet, in the past year or so. His grades suffered a bit, so I have been rationing this school year. He is interested in music, and has been in choruses for a long time. He likes to participate in sites that permit interactive reviewing. He also likes graphics a lot, and we have given him an unusually broad background in art appreciation. He is not into sports. His favorite academic subject is probably English, and he is an unusually good writer for his age<VBG>....He has had some of the teen surliness come through, but we are very close, and we do have fun together. Among other things, my wife and I are movie buffs, and have been letting him watch more adult oriented movies, and he has learned to appreciate some foreign films. We have been taking him to New York with us once or twice a year since he was in first grade.....
Apple seems to have made a successful comeback, yes. The most difficult area is e- commerce, where valuation is guesswork, and the landscape is changing rapidly. Also, an awful lot of software launches have been very, very speculative.... |
