Uncle Frank,

No offense intended with my off-the-cuff and unedited remarks. I was able to read back about 200 posts here. Having done so I was not aware of the personal relationships that have developed or that pre-dated the creation of this thread.

I do wish to participate and contribute. Please recall that each person on SI wishes to maintain a certain distance from the thread. Some lurk, some belly up to the bar, and some are somewhere in the middle. Currently I feel like an outsider and on shaky ground already with only a few posts under my belt. Perhaps the demeanor of the thread is not what I had anticipated or could reasonably comprehend without cues such as your last post.

I have not developed a deep attachment to this thread like I have with members on the SNDK thread. With your permission I would like to make a case. If I have offended thread members irrevocably rest assured that I will leave without rocking the boat further.
