Look at the other drive makers, particularly WDC. Up over 4. Here is your answer as to why IOM shot up as well. It was merely aping other drive maker's stocks.

One question remains unanswered:

How can Zip be a "standard" when sales are limited to 1.5 Million Zips/Q, and this sales limitation is NOT due to capacity problems? Sales are NOT increasing substantially (let alone geometrically), and 1.44MB floppy drive sales are actually INCREASING on a yearly basis.
