Remember the days that only US made automobiles. Then the Japanese
started and made some average(may even bad) cars. Then they become
better at doing it at lower price. Then people can afford to buy a
car. Then people can afford to buy a second car. Then they are making lexus
camry lexus ... I hope we(consumer) have a choice of better computer
at reasonable price. Be that computer has engine from INTEL, AMD,
IDT, CYRX or someday from foreign (not again). Is anyone expecting
comsumers are dumb, no, they just didn't have any choice? What high
margin means is good for the company, but bad for the consumer. With
high margin, money flow from majority of consumers(tens, hundred of
millions) to the CEO, CFO, UFO and stock holders. With lower margin,
money still flow from majority of consumers to CEO, CFO, UFO and
stock holders, but more spread out to other companies (people have
more money to spend).

Don't get me wrong, I own stocks. But the keyword is BALANCE.
