Hi Tom: Good analogy. I think the money is in the blades though perhaps there's some to be made in the razors as well.

In most of the medical device industry, the money is made through repeat business not in the initial placement of systems.
If that holds true for Footmaxx,
the profit margin (if any) on the original placement of software systems with clinics and orthotic dealers is probably minimal.

The real income comes from the number of custom orthotic inserts that each software system then generates.
The beauty of this arrangement is that (if they can keep their software & service state-of-the-art) the dollars from the manufacture and sale of custom orthotics just keeps rolling in.

Does that explain how I see it?

All just IMO, of course.

I think 1997 finacials weren't released until May '98
so we've probably got a while to wait for '98s.

As always seems to be the case, the direction of the price over these next two months will likely be a good barometer for what those financials will tell us.

If these people are good businessmen, (the board seems to have some good people) then we should see some signs that the initial investment period is beginning to pay off.

That's what I'm hoping,

Cush
