Voltaire, (great name, to be the philosopher for the 21st Century, similar to Bill Gates over the last two decades) since you have quoted a lot of forward thinking about the market; I have some points of discussion and questions on the upcoming transition week;

1) Market peaked this year on approx. 8/25, the same date as the peak in 87 and then it crashed in 10/19/87; any relevance or just a coincidence?
2) Everyone knows about the Fed meeting on Tuesday re: potential rate hikes and other policy tightening measures;
however also next week are a) European Central Bank, b) UK Central Bank and c) Sweden Central Banks meetings to consider rate hikes; ( Also Canada on Wednesday, however we seem to follow the US policy )
What impact will these Bank meetings have on the US Fed policy and possible rate hike?
3) Payroll numbers come out on Friday; a number was quoted stating that if there are more than 300,000 , then the market will be bearish. Your comments?

PS I am long in QCOM and other high tech companies, however I am always interested in hearing /reading opinions such as yours to understand the market dynamics. I believe that Banks and High Tech stocks would be corrected more, if the above statements happen: e.g. Fed policy to tightening or interest rate hikes
