Not so fast there! While Al Gore is being laughed at, he has been actively promoting the Web and all that stuff. Sure, his concepts might have changed, but so have most people's. $ill Gates only made a belated conversion to the Web importance in 1995. Al Gore is a good pal of Q! and when push finally comes to shove, defence by the USA political system, judiciary and military of Q! intellectual property is going to be essential. Al Gore will be the best one to do it. Elizabeth Dole won't have a clue - she probably can't even use a toaster. Sure she has got Great Gender but we want a bit more than gender running The New Paradigm. It seems that he did indeed take the initiative in helping the internet along, though the help was not needed. Not many Senators, Congressors or Big Businessors had a clue about what was going on. I suspect many are still bemused and befuddled by the whole thing. The article scoffingly says: "Gore told the audience how much he valued Chambers and one of the products Cisco produced. But he mispronounced "routers" as root-ers." You should know that he pronounced it correctly. A 'router' pronounced as in 'row - a loud argument or din' is a device for cutting holes in wood or metal. A router in computer speak is following a route, which is a French word. Sounding like 'root - of a tree'. It seems that the next USA Presidential election is under way! Mqurice Hello CR! Nice to see a brief visitation return. SurferM a discrete or discreet friend? Inquiring minds are interested in such comments. Is Oakland pronounced Auckland?
