Yes, some elements of WAP look like interim solutions. Ones that will be widely adopted, but not long lived. Can they make money at that, and build a future at the same time is a question. I don't know.

In fact, the VodaPhone deal sounds good and will probably set the pace for many more such deals. I believe the Iplanet Netscape/Sun Alliance have solved some security issues in their project.

Interesting to see what happens if MSFT breaks up. This seems to be a company that is actually restrained by it's size because of monopoly fears.
