That's why I haven't pull the trigger on covered calls. But you can make alot of money writing calls,however most people don't for one main reason (greed). To answer your question about my partners, we just share ideas. I have my own portfolio. Let me give you an example of a covered call. When SEEK goes to 15 and everybody thinks its going to the moon you write the 17.5 30 to 60 days out for around a buck. Then sit back and watch the profittakers roll into town and push the stock back. When you write covered calls you are the Casino owner. Even if it does continue to go up you leave yourself some upside my writing the out of the money calls. If less riskier than shorting the stock.
