Out here on the West Coast, we are more homogenized than are some other areas of the country.
What I truly don't understand, is how we could have spent so much money in so many places, and still the blacks in particular make a career out of complaining about their lot. They, as a group, seem to excuse themselves for not working, or for reasons their kids are out roaming streets in the middle of the night, or going in gangs to murder, rape, or cause other mayhem.
We have heavy Asian populations here, and truly, there are a few bad apples, but most people we've met and worked with are a joy....they are hard workers, some have sometimes 2 or 3 jobs a day, and their kids are smart, love school and learning, and are well mannered. Most of these families have only been here a generation or two. We VERY seldom hear them complaining. |
