No, we know we were wrong right now. The invasion was based on WMD... wrong. The invasion was based on the belief that it would be successful in the short term... wrong.

If you had tried to "sell" the invasion to the people based on the actual reality, it would be a non-starter. The fact that the justification and the outcome of the invasion was fiction, makes the decision wrong.

You may dream of some positive (but unlikely) outcome at some unspecified date... that's just dreaming. Most in the US look at the sacrifice and the Iraqi reality and know the decision was a mistake.

Maybe your physical distance from the US contributes to your mental distance from reality.


But John, you've got to admit its different this time with Iran. Ole Rummie and Bush are sure that Iran is up to no good. They are sure!!! We need to attack them asap.
