A few months ago my wife answered the door. It was an FBI agent investigating a neighbor boy. We know his parents but we didn't know him, and that's what my wife told the agent.

Now they have a sign in their yard that parents of a U.S. Marine live here.

I intend to knock on their door and congratulate the whole family. The granddad, who passed away a couple years ago, is also a neighbor. He flew B-24s, B-47s, and said he got his most combat time in a C-130 in Nam.

A treat for me: Before he died I was able to introduce my father in law who flew B-17s. They agreed that the B-17 was the more robust of the two heavy bombers.
