Hi Bk,

Just wanted to let you know that I finally heard from dialpad via email. After reading through their directions on how to rectify the situation I decided not to even attempt it (especially when I got to steps 12-15). I just don't have the time to be playing around with this but I wanted you to know what they said to do:

You need to reinstall the Dialpad applet. Here is the process:

1. Open the "My Computer" icon from your desktop.
2. Select "Folder Options..." under the "View" menu in the open window.
3. This will open a pop-up window. Selsct the "View" tab in this pop-up window.
4. In the "Advanced Settings" screen look for a "Hidden Files" option and select "Show all files"
5. Click "OK"

Now,

1. Go to the Start menu, select Programs, and then "Windows Explorer."
2. On the address bar located at the top of the window, type:
C:\windows\downloaded program files
3. If you use Windows NT, type:
C:\winnt\downloaded program files
4. After typing this, press Enter on the keyboard.
5. Now hilight a file and click "File" at the top left hand corner of the window.
6. Select "Show all files".
7. You should now see "Dialpad US Java Applet."
8. Right-click the file and select "Remove."
9. On the address bar located at the top of the window, type:
C:\windows\java\packages
10. If you use Windows NT, type:
C:\winnt\java\packages
11. After typing this, press Enter on the keyboard.
12. Look for a file about 139KB in size and open it using any unzipping software such as WinZip.
13. Once the file is opened, look for "Web2PhoneHelper."
14. If you find the Web2PhoneHelper file inside the ZIP file, delete the whole ZIP file.
15. Repeat these steps for any ZIP files you find that are about 139KB.

After completing these steps, close all your programs and restart your computer and follow these steps:

1. Go to the Start menu and select Run.
2. Copy and paste the following command in the blank space:
regsvr32 /u C:\windows\system\dpusvscp.dll
3. Click OK.
4. Go to the Start menu, select Programs, and then "Windows Explorer."
5. On the address bar located at the top of the window, type:
C:\windows\system
6. If you use Windows NT, type:
C:\winnt\system32
7. Press Enter on the keyboard.
8. Now click View at the top of your window and select "Folder Options."
9. Select the View tab and make sure "Show all files" is selected.
10. Click OK to exit your window preferences.
11. Delete the following files: dpusvscp.dll, dpusrt.dll, dpusnet.dll, tsd2.dll
