I thought I would report that I got a very nice and unexpected note from the Bantwana Initiative (my charity pick) saying that someone (a participant in these contests who wishes to remain anonymous) had made a substantial donation in my honor.

A really nice gesture on the donor's part, and a great idea to look over these lists of charities for ideas on which charities to support independent of the winner of the contest.
