Hubby is pre-diabetic so we're eating low carb meals. Always looking for recipes, and this one sounds great. I will try in in the morning and let you know what we think. I assume you did not use syrup, but just a bit of butter on top?

Here is a recipe for our favorite halibut dish. (you could use any white fish.)

Broiled Halibut

1/2 C grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 C butter, softened
3 T mayonnaise
2 T lemon juice
3 T chopped green onion
pinch of salt
dash of hot pepper sauce
2 lbs skinless halibut fillets

1. Preheat oven broiler. Grease baking dish.
2. In a bowl, mix the cheese, butter, mayo, lemon juice, green onions, salt and hot pepper sauce.
3. Arrange the halibut fillets in the prepared baking dish.
4. Broil fillets 8 minutes in the prepared oven, or until easily flaked with a fork. Spread with the Parmesan cheese mixture, and continue broiling 2 minutes, or until topping is bubbly and lightly browned.

Tip: Aluminum foil can be used to keep food moist, cook it evenly and make clean-up easier.
