A positive note from the conference call for those who are interested. It seems to me that the overriding key benchmark by which InfoSpace should be judged is the number of wireless subscribers who access the mobile internet through their product offerings, just as the subscriber number was key to seeing the value in AOL in the early nineties. The only thing I really care about is subscriber growth and wireless revenue growth, and the conference call had positive news relating to this foundation of InfoSpace's business. As a formality, subscriber guidance was lifted to 5 mil. for the year from the 3 mil. number provided a couple weeks ago. This isn't really news, or at least it shouldn't be to anyone. Of real interest is the divulgence that four Brazilian wireless carriers have become customers. This is important because the Brazilian market is very, very substantial and is currently one of the fastest growing in the world. Also noteworthy was the elaboration of Virgin's global business development plan, which some of you may already be aware of. Virgin Mobile is the first virtual wireless carrier. They rent or lease their actual product--wireless service--and desire to exist solely as a marketing brand. They aspire to be a force in every worldwide market. Instead of owning their own network, they rent wireless capacity from other companies as they need to. And now for wireless data services, they are utilizing InfoSpace's content delivery platform. What they are doing is very interesting and will be very flexible as long as they work with the right service wholesalers. Through them, InfoSpace will become insinuated in every market Virgin enters globally, and it will be exciting to see. Richard Branson has demonstrated genius in being able to create new markets for the Virgin brand and has a world of opportunity to extend it in the wireless arena.
