Hi Gary,
I have no experience with 3,000+ share orders. Almost all of the orders I had were filled in what I considered a rather lengthy time period. The worst was a market order that took over four minutes to fill. When I called American Express they told me that they didn't think that this was too long for a market order. I have never had a market order take that long with Waterhouse.
