Hi Richard: I was being a bit facetious when I posted that about the central bankers but the BRE-X scam planted the seed..what better way to depillar(word?) or crumble a dictatorship.. I am one of those idealists. Lately I refuse to listen to the daily news..it is not that I don't care...it is that I can't do anything about it..I am hoping that the internet will bring about change because more and more introverted citizens can share their views and maybe become a stronger voting force... The current politicians seem to be catering to all that is lowly in humans..promising them less taxes and then taking away from the more needy and eventually the less needy with more and more wealth being transferred to the few...the Dalai Lama said you can't take your cadillac to heaven... I just lost my precious cat,Pumpy last week..for a few bleak moments I hated everything and felt connected to nothing...I thought of flowers,dogs,little children etc and no connection.. when I finally came out of it..I realized a lot of us are truly blessed because we do feel connected and care about others...now I can't get that angry at the cartels that control the world..they pay so very dearly for it..the politicians hungry for power at the cost of their soul also pay so dearly for it..(that is the way I see it but obviously very subjective view) ...on another note..one can manipulate for only sooooo long.. the power brokers are creating the biggest rubber band effect..there is a strong demand for platinum and gold..demand is outpacing supply.. Bre-x tragedy(since it hurt so many investors) means no 200 million is coming on line..the Delgratia fiasco is putting an even bigger question mark on dirt plays...CTQ which still might have the goods is saying it is so hard to find an elephant even when one is being honest...etc... Russia has nothing more to dump...US has coveted its gold..German's saying that they won't sell is the most positive negative utterance in a while.. Greenspan complained before about irrational exuberance...now that the Dow is so much higher...more and more people are saying it is THE BEST OF TIMES.. just read in the paper yesterday that the government of my state is encouraging polluters to come to the state...upstate needs the money so I guess bringing the cancer is acceptable.. my mind is now focussed on what effect will Hong Kong's return to China have on the world...will the twenty first century see the US as a third rate power..(if the market crumbles can you imagine all those aging baby boomers with all their retirement funds in equity market..but they will probably pull them out when there is a bad correction),,,supposedly the promised balanced budget is smoke and mirrors and will be seen for that once Clinton leaves office..I joke with friends and say I be Gore might start secretively leaking negative information about the Clintons so he can take over the presidency and not let the buck fall on his term..(if he were to run and if he were to get elected)
