Mephisto,

My discount broker upgraded me to their second highest options trading level, which means that I can now do spreads, long straddles, and long combinations. They suggested that I apply again in six months if I want to sell uncovered options. (I currently have only six months of options experience.)

Thanks for the thoughtful responses from you and Dennis on inflation/interest rates. I have nothing further to add on these subjects.
