HI Shieldsg: Re>We all still see a lot of folks with AOL addresses, "NO" you don't unless your in another world, which planet do you live on ? do you get on crc, or usenet and check the percentages ? or even here on the AOL thread , I think we have two..if you see a lot it's because your just on AOL..the independet ISP..is were the most people are by far, not any or all of the big providers combined can touch the numbers of the multitude of small ISPs on the internet..thats were most users are..and "TALK to new users..I do as I'm a low end tech.. and do end users service work..bet I talk to more in a day than you do in a month..and let me tell you; that bad news about all the AGs has had a hard impact.. AOL don't want to talk about it..most people buying a computer now days if you ask them if they are planing to use AOL..will look at you as if your nuts, they may not know much about computers but they read the news, and are not about to get caught up in some company that has had the bad press AOL has had. Wait till the truth comes out and they can no longer cook the books, and you will likly find they never had near as many paying customers as they claimed..I bet they counted every thing that blinked..sort of like the kill rate we had in Nam.. you would call in the numbers..and get stone walled "UP THE NUMBERS".. YOU go back and look at Nam coverage..and tally up all the enimey killed week by week..in the news papers, shucks it could not have been people..there were not that many people over there..but the big brass "UPed" the numbers to keep it going as long as they could. I sence more than a little of this with AOL..and I didn't just fall off some cabbage truck. Jim
