Twister: Thanks for that response. You know, if what you say is actually what I believed was going on at Sun I would probably be the first to agree with you. I do think the scalability of Sun servers is dominating the product now, but holding that lead will be an ever increasing challenge in the market to come.
But in terms of the investment in JAVA, I don't agree. I don't think it is out of line or all as much as you might think.

Watch Zander's division almost exclusively when you are looking at growth and earnings - and see what they are doing and, as they saying goes, don't necessasrily follow the hype, but instead "follow the money."

When earnings are announced, watch who they put on CNBC. It will be Zander. There was a good article in BW last month about him. I think it was called "Fast Eddie" and sometimes I think that the hype of JAVA is the duck blind.

JAVA is just a piece of the puzzle - don't get distracted from the big picture.
