It makes no sense for Intel to seek the absolute demise of AMD from a business perspective. This would draw too much antitrust attention now that Apple is also on board. Should Intel allow AMD to go under, it would then be the obvious pink elephant in the room. Therefore, it is my theory that AMD will be around for quite some time and that its stock price will continue to fluctuate as it historically has. It seems to me that the graphics division has actually had some pretty good press as of late (though not holding the actual performance crown) which in my opinion is a more optimistic scenario than just a few months ago. I purchased another 10000 shares of AMD at 6.81 with the view that the Graphics division alone would be worth as much if spun off...
