IMO the Mitsu products though popular have never been the success that Sony or Panasonic has been and I think that the fact that they made the Zero and other Japanese warplane's is a big factor. It is very big outside of the US though. Their automobiles suffer the same fate. Also if you remind most people about Ampex and the first VCR's they will remember that history this way. The Japanese stole the technology from Ampex and produced it with cheap Japenese labor to produce a less expensive product. I don't think that it is entirely accurate in fact I don't think Ampex actually brought their VCR to market. I do remember that magizines back then showed the prototype's and they had a quick loading reel insted of a cassete so I guess it was really a VR. Now I am sure Ampex will somehow find a way to remind the jury of this history without actually going into the details. Mitsu will probably over rule it but the Jury will be reminded and come up with their own version of that history. So I think the outcome will be very profitable for Ampex!
