I know I have mentioned here how I feel about analysts... Here is the perfect case study of how these charlatans work.

On April 25, 2002 - Joe Osha the so called respected (highly paid) Merril Lynch semiconductor analyst came out and downgraded LSI Logic which was selling in the mid teens to a SELL!

As records indicate (Please see lionshares.com ) Merril Lynch was the top buyer of the stock during the time their chief semi analyst had recommended others to SELL and as the stock was falling into single digits).

2 months later, in late July of 2002 (and after Merril had purchased majority of its LSI shares in the single digits), Joe Osha came out and upgraded the stock to a HOLD!

Analysts (and especially the kind that are marked by terms such as "Respected" in Wall Street) are more dangerous and more inhuman than the most scumb terrorists in the Middle East.
