Since January when the programs set the tone for what we have now, there has been a veritable buyers strike. Some would say that this collusion has served us well....at this stage one would have to agree. No chart will tell you where or when it will turn or if it will just go lower and sideways, as brutal as that scenario is, its still possesses a probability.
I may be the only value / fundamentalist who posts here, so what applies to me may have no bearing on anyone else.

Its at these times fundamentals provide the best evidence of how any stock should perform. This wash and rinse will accomplish several objectives;
1. It will rinse the margin players.
2. It will provide cover for institutional rotations to where the best forward demand metrics appear.
3. It has allowed accumulated program short interest to be covered at lower prices where a shift of Intent occurs.
4. It will produce an extrordinary period for whipsawing investors and traders, rinse cycles will set a protracted period of questioning into the minds of the players.

Post this period, the hedge money in play will be more balanced (long and short), making the overall risk more evenly distributed. Some % Buyer strike players will have converted to long status, and thus will have ownership interest in a different forward outcome.

The key to survival as a stock player will be to have amassed a greater quantity of the right units measured against positive forward demand.
