I'll go further and say everyone will be able to cite the streak at 111 games (easy to remember), but who beat UConn will be a trivia question few will get, just as few can name the team that ended their prior record setting 90 game streak (making them 201-2 over that period). Had MS St won the championship, it's entirely possible that would have instead resulted in a movie deal. Ouch.

For example, this being a men's college basketball board, can you name who broke UCLA's historic 88 game streak? Hint: The team they lost to is the same team they had lost to prior to beginning the streak. Hint: the team was not from the west coast. Like I said, most people just remember the streak, not who broke it. And like you said, who won the championship that year will likely be a footnote as well.

BTW, as perhaps you've noticed, I'm really big on behavioral economics. Way more so than all this quant stuff. In fact, all math equations do is pick up and amplify what they find, making said source that much more valuable to identify and target before it becomes mathematically visible.
