09:45 ET Dow -21, Nasdaq -54, S&P -6.96: [BRIEFING.COM] As expected, the markets have opened broadly weaker this morning. Sell pressure is most pronounced on the Nasdaq which is already posting a 2.5% loss after the first fifteen minutes. Nasdaq market interals look extremely weak and volume is on the heavier side to start. The sell pressure in technology is broad based with just about every notable sector getting hammered early on. Despite technology weakness, the Dow has managed to maintain a posture above 11,000. Notable strength is evident in financials, drugs, consumer goods, oil and transports.
