Edwards picks far-left Bush-hater as "blogmaster"
By Jim Addison on 2008 Presidential Race Wizbang Politics
Last week, as he struggled to be both tough and conciliatory towards Iranian nukes, John Edwards named Amanda Marcotte of the leftist Pandagon blog to run his campaign's blog. If he is trying to play the straddler in the formerly Mainstream Media - apologizing for his Iraq War vote in one breath, for instance, but insisting he would still have voted for it anyway - he is casting his lot with the foul-mouthed left wing of New Media.
Oh, not only is she a crazed Bush-hater, she also hates Catholicism! Kathryn Lopez at NRO:
<<< It's a free blogosphere, of course, and Marcotte can ridicule my religion and its teachings all she wants (though I'll lay off her Church of the Mouse and the Disco Ball), but Democratic former North Carolina senator John Edwards, if he cares about avoiding offending Catholic voters, might care to take another look at the online writings of the woman he has just hired to be his campaign blogmaster. Her hostility to religion and in particular the Catholic Church should alarm Edwards.
It should alarm Edwards, of course, because I'd assume Edwards would want to avoid "anti-Catholic" from appearing in too many stories next to his name. And that's not just because Catholics vote. If Edwards buys what he was saying on Meet the Press this weekend, it should thoroughly offend him too. >>>

Michelle Malkin does a dramatic reading of some of Marcotte's posts (bleeped where appropriate, which is fairly often). If Michelle ever tires of blogging, she has a future playing insane leftists in the movies - she has the "angst" down pat.
