You ever lived though a bankruptcy?
You ever contracted or worked for a company that went BK?
I know I HAVE. And it only had to happen once.
All the employees holding candle lighting vigils.
Holding out hope that their Big loan is going to come through.
Holding out big hope that the CEO is going to find new financing or somehow magically cash flow is going to happen.
I've been there.
Only had to happen once.
Had huge exposure (for me)
Huge exposure.
Lost a ton on a ton of employees.
Never again.
Watch the number of law suits and collection notices.
Don't wait around with blind faith when you think the ship is going down.
It's not business as usual.
If you never see the guys at the top it's not because they are out there hitting the pavement looking for new financing.
That's not the reason.
Don't ever have big debt exposure when you think the ship is going down.
That's my only advice.
Been there.
Done that.
Never again.
