Yeah - like Jrgen says: don't spend your time calculating everything, or you'll never get the sentiment of the market right. Often I feel like we should just take a list of F/A sound stox, throw a dart, and buy something. What you do after you buy something is where all the chutzpah is, IMHO.
Everyone seems to have their own illusions about why the market, or some particular stock's price, moves the way it moves. (I certainly have mine!) Many folks have an essentially paranoid concept - that someone else, "they" are moving the prices around.
I try to channel my emotions into a more "positive" illusion of the market's behaviour, manifested by the magic lines on these charts. At least - I don't feel that I am being "manipulated" - that I have some modicum of control over my own investment destiny.
Still, the best returns appear to be had by choosing fundamentally sound and growing stocks, buying conservative LEAPS, and doing nothing.
